Do you have a love for education and a desire to make Imagine the best that it can be? The Imagine Governing Board will have an open position that must be filled in May per our bylaws.
Ideal candidates will bring energy and enthusiasm for making Imagine the best school possible. Past boards have benefited from the contributions of many different professions like legal, finance, accounting, education, management, and so forth. A board comprised of members with a variety of backgrounds and skill sets is ideal.
The self-nomination period is now open. Parents are encouraged to apply by requesting and submitting a letter of interest and a brief resume. Requirements for membership on the Board are set forth in the Board manual, and require reading of two books (Hirsch’s The Schools We Need; Why We Don’t Have Them and Roberts Rules of Order). Anyone wishing to run for the Board must also sign the Board member agreement immediately upon election and be prepared to take the Board oath if elected. Board manuals shall be available for potential candidates.
Nomination packets are due back by Friday, April 15th, along with your digital picture. The election will be held May 16 – May 20. Polls will be closed at 4:00 pm on May 20, 2016. If elected, your term will run from May 2016 through April 2019.
