Welcome to our class!

This year will be filled with all sorts of fun surprises, exploration, and discovery! Our preschool program utilizes the Core Knowledge curriculum as well as the Core Knowledge Language Arts (CKLA) and the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. We are excited to introduce these curricula to your child as they will see the Core Knowledge and CKLA in their future years at Imagine.  We are so excited to have you as a part of our Imagine family; we are looking forward to getting to know you and your child, but before we can do that, you need to know about us.

My name is Anna Stone. I am so thrilled to be starting the 2nd year of my teaching journey at Imagine Charter School Firestone! I earned my Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado State University with a concentration in Animal Science. When my son arrived, I decided that it was best for me to be a stay at home mom for him. As he started preschool at Imagine, I volunteered and then became a long-term sub in my son’s class in the Spring of 2015.  This is when I realized how much I loved being around the preschool and prekindergarten-aged children and how much joy they brought me in addition to my own little one. As I begin my second year of teaching, I have earned by Group Leader certification by completing Early Childhood Education courses through Front Range Community College in the Fall of 2015.  A little bit about me, outside of school…I live in Loveland with  my husband, Adam, 5-year-old son, Jace and our herding dogs.  My husband and I would one day like to own our own cattle operation. We love our cows!  In addition to my interest in livestock, I enjoy scrapbooking, DIY/repurposing projects, home improvement projects, crafts and play time with my prekindergartener, among many other activities. If you wish to contact me, please feel free to email me at anna.stone@imagineschools.org or call (303) 772-3711 x 118.

My name is Mrs. Roberts, and I am so excited to meet each of you! I live in Longmont with my husband, teen daughter and pets. I started teaching PreK since 2005. I currently have an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, and I plan to continue my education in this area. I love learning and exploring along my students. I love art and messy play, and I feel strongly that this is the most important age to install a lifelong love for learning. I look forward to meeting you in August! If you wish to contact me, please feel free to email me at nicolle.roberts@imagineschools.org or call (303) 772-3711 x118.

We are looking forward to partnering with you in raising your child.  We hope that you and your child will find fun and joy by being a part of our classroom this year.  Your child will receive a special postcard from their teachers, a supply list, and any additional information in early July!!  If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Stone and Mrs. Roberts

Monday/Wednesday/Friday morning

  • We had a great time at YaYa Farms and Orchards on Wednesday morning! It was a little chilly of a morning but quickly warmed up! We were very proud of the kids as they were very respectful and polite to the farm and the employees! Great job kiddos! Thank you to all the parents that came out to have a special day with your child!

Tuesday/Thursday morning
  • We had a great week with this class! We wanted to do something special with the kids this week, so they got to have a Pajama and Movie Day! We watched the Dreamworks movie, Home, while playing within the room! It was fun to see each child's favorite pajamas and have a day to play with blocks, the Apple Orchard in dramatic play, explore apple pie playdough, and use magnifying glass to examine rocks!

Monday through Thursday afternoon

  • We had a great time at YaYa Farms and Orchards on Wednesday afternoon! It was a beautiful day with perfect weather to spend time at the farm! We were very proud of the kids as they were very respectful and polite to the farm and the employees! The kids went with the flow when the tractor didn't want to shift into gear for our hayride, but the kids (and parents) improvised and took a walk around the orchard while waiting! Great job kiddos! Thank you to all the parents that came out to have a special day with your child!
