Danielle Gallegos and Maria Ochoa

My name is Danielle Gallegos and I have been teaching Pre-K professionally since 2007. I am currently continuing my education to obtain my masters in early childhood. This will be a slow process but learning new things is always exciting! I am the oldest of 3 girls and 18 cousins, so children have always been a huge part of my life. I live in Mead with my husband Joe and two Daughters; Olivia (10) and Gianna (5) and our Chocolate Lab, Cash. My girls are avid dancers and performers and inspire me every day to be a better teacher and person. This is my fourth year here at Imagine and I am so excited to be back. I am so proud to be a part of this amazing school community. Besides teaching, my passions are: writing, reading, history, yoga, dance, music and crafts. I also love to fly fish and spend time in the outdoors. This year is going to be  a wonderful adventure and I am thrilled to be a part of your family!

My name is Maria Ochoa and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I live in Longmont with my husband Joao and my Daughter Sophia who will be in second grade next year at Imagine. I have volunteered in the children’s ministry program at my church for the past 4 years. I love doing art with preschoolers and inspiring their creativity. This is my third year at Imagine and I am looking forward to teaching Spanish and leading the afternoon program.  When I am not teaching I enjoy going hiking, swimming, and spending time with my family.

Mrs. Ochoa and I work very closely together so feel free to communicate with one of us or both for any questions you may have. We will be checking our e-mail at least once a week throughout this summer and would be happy to help you with anything that c

omes up.

Hello, my name is Rebecca Barger and this is my first year at Imagine Firestone.

I have been a part of early childhood programs and elementary para-education programs in Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota for the last 20 years.  Most recently I spent the last 8 years as a director of a large child care center in Frederick, and prior to that, taught preschool for 2 years at the same center.

I hold a degree in Early Childhood Development from the University of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.   I also have my Directors License, and currently hold a Level 5 Credential through the state of Colorado’s Quality Rating System.

I live in Frederick with my husband Matt and our daughter Grace (8), who attends Imagine and will be in the 3rd grade.  We love our little community and have lived here for the last 10 years.  We hope to be here for a long time.

In my free time I love to paint, decorate, sing, attend church with my family and travel the world.

I am super excited to be a part of the Imagine community and continue to make a difference in the lives of children and their families.  My favorite things to do with young children is laugh with them, read fun stories, inspire their creativity, and listen to all the wonderful stories and ideas they have to share.  I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you, and to begin our year of learning and exploration.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have.  I can be contacted at rebecca.barger@imagineschools.org or call 303-772-3711 ext. 118

Hello! My name is Tera Hammer and I am very excited to be joining the Preschool team at Imagine Charter School! I am thrilled to be your child’s teacher and I’m looking forward to getting to know you, your family, and most importantly, your child. Let me tell you a little about myself. I have a Bachelors degree in Speech Communication with a minor in Elementary Education. I have my certification as an Early Childhood Teacher. Since college, I have worked as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, a preschool teacher, and most recently as an Instructor for an enrichment program. I was born and raised in Colorado and actually didn’t move far from where I grew up. I met my husband in high school and we celebrated our 14th wedding anniversary in June. I have two extremely active boys (ages 9 and 6). They keep me running around town taking them to their various sports practices. When I’m not running them around, I enjoy just hanging out with my family or losing myself in a good book. I can’t wait to meet your child and have year full of adventure, fun, and learning!!
