NOTE: Your 24 hour rental starts at 4pm the day prior to your rental. If your child’s birthday is August 15th, reserve August 15th and you may begin painting AFTER 4pm on August 14th.

Payment is due when the reservation is made. Your reservation could be removed if payment is not received in a timely manner. This is to keep it fair for all Firestone Charter Academy Families. The rate is $10/day.

The preferred payment is to pay online to rent the Rock but you may also pay via cash or check. Make checks payable to “Puma Pride PTA” and bring it to the Firestone Charter Academy Office at time of reservation – please note SPIRIT ROCK & the date you are reserving in the memo. The Spirit Rock funds are separate from FCA and therefore cannot be paid for by credit card or debit card at the front office.

A Spirit Rock is an opportunity to share exciting events with our school community by painting your own message. You can reserve the rocks for anything!! A student’s birthday, thank a teacher or staff member, congratulatory events, good luck on competitions and tournaments, recognizing milestones… The rock is a fun way to spread any kind of positive message. Please note that profanity, political messages, and business advertisements are not permitted.

It’s simple, just go to our Sign Up and reserve the actual date you want. You may begin painting at 4 pm on the day prior to your reservation. So if your event is September 10, rent the rock for September 10 and you can begin painting on September 9 at 4 pm. Please respect the family before you and do not paint earlier than 4 pm.

PAYMENT IS DUE AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION. Daily rates are $10/day. You may reserve multiple days consecutively. 100% of your donation goes to Puma Pride PTA. Payments are accepted online, by cash, or check made payable to Puma Pride PTA. Checks must be dropped off to the front office within 48 hours of you making a reservation – with your name & date written in the memo. Your rental will be removed if payment is not received in a timely matter. The Spirit Rock funds are separate from FCA and therefor cannot be paid for by credit card or debit card at the front office.

If you’re painting the rock to celebrate a teacher or other staff member, the rock can be reserved for zero cost. Just note in the reservation that it's a staff birthday or event.

Plan on using 1-2 cans of spray paint for the base coat and then additional paint for the design. You will need to bring drop cloths or garbage bags to protect the ground from overspray and may also want to bring painters tape, scissors, templates, or brushes to aid in the design as well. Please make sure that any nearby cars will not be hit by overspray!!!

ONLY the Rock may be painted. DO NOT paint the sidewalk or the landscape rocks or any other material surrounding the Rock. The individual or group will be held financially responsible for cleaning and/or repair costs associated with violation of this policy. Anyone painting the Rock must leave the area in clean condition. Remove all paint materials and litter from the site and be sure the paint is disposed of properly off-campus.

ONLY the side of the rock facing the school may be painted. It makes more work for the person painting after you to have to buy extra paint to cover your design.

The individual or group painting the rock assumes liability for any individual or member of the group who may be injured and/or incur clothing or other personal property damage. Please be kind to our environment and recycle empty paint cans, etc.

You can start painting the day before your reservation at 4pm. If weather or something else prevents you from painting the night before, you can paint during the school day if you are extra careful about paint overspray and nearby parked cars.

We are not doing weekend rentals for the 2021-2022 school year so if you rent a rock for a Monday, you can paint anytime over the weekend (after 4pm Friday).

Spirit Rock paintings MUST be in good taste. FCA Staff and Puma Pride PTA will regularly monitor the Spirit Rock to ensure that paintings fall within the above-established guidelines. FCA has the right to remove any painting deemed inappropriate by school administration without notice to those who painted the rock.

The rock can be towel dried and the paint will adhere even in the rain and or snow if you want to brave the elements. If painting in the rain or snow is not your thing, revisit the calendar and reserve the next available date and email pumapridefundraising@firestonecharteracademy.org to let us know of the date change. We can also move your reservation for you.

Puma Pride PTA is not responsible for painting the rock. You can find someone to paint it for you, but painting the rock is fun, and we are sure that no matter what you do, the person you are painting it for will love it.

Rock reservations are on a first come, first served basis so make your reservations NOW!! If the date you want is already reserved, choose the next available date, either before or after.
