When should I let the counselor know I need support?

Small problem: Issue is minor (Ex: A disagreement with a friend)
-try using your tools to solve this problem on your own
-if the problem continues talk to a trusted adult and/or counselor

Medium problem: Issue isn’t major but it is on your mind and you could use help and support talking about it. (Ex: Feeling overwhelmed with stress due to school work)
-talk to a trusted adult and/or counselor

Big Problem: The issue is urgent. (Ex: Sickness, grief, feelings of sadness/depression, feeling unsafe, family changes like divorce or separation)
-talk to a trusted adult/counselor ASAP
