Please fill out the Counselor Appointment Form, if you are the Parent/Guardian of the student you are referring.



When should one let the counselor know they need support for their child?

Small problem: Issue is minor (Ex: A disagreement with a friend)
-student can try using your tools to solve this problem on your own
-if the problem continues talk they can talk to a trusted adult and/or counselor

Medium problem: Issue isn’t major but it is on their mind and they could use help and support talking about it. (Ex: Feeling overwhelmed with stress due to school work)
-student can talk to a trusted adult and/or counselor

Big Problem: The issue is urgent. (Ex: Sickness, grief, feelings of sadness/depression, feeling unsafe, family changes like divorce or separation)
-student should talk to a trusted adult/counselor/member of the mental health team ASAP
